About Zer0fect

Zerofect is a company founded in 2022, that focuses on developing solutions, giving directions and providing guidance on strategic decisions, in order to increase the sustainability and performance of manufacturing systems. Zerofect services cover four areas that provide holistic and sustainable solutions. These areas are Consulting, R&D, Technology provision and Education. 

Our services revolve around Quality control and assurance, Digital Twins, Scheduling, Decision making and Sustainability implementation.

Our goal is to provide our clients with state of the art solutions, to increase their competence and sustainability of their companies. In Zerofect we believe that sharing knowledge and educating employees and students is our duty, in order to assist the Industry to move towards global sustainability.

About Zerofect founder

Foivos Psarommatis

Foivos Psarommatis is a passionate and pioneer Mechanical Engineer, active researcher and lecturer. He holds a PhD from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne ‐ EPFL where he was the first to modernize and set the foundations of modern Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) opening a new era for quality assurance.

 

His scientific interests, motivation and vision are around the implementation of Industry 4.0 approach and on how ZDM can be applied efficiently to production systems, focusing on the decision making, scheduling, digital twins and design of manufacturing systems or products, with ultimate goal to achieve true sustainable manufacturing.

 

He is actively involved in EU research programs in the area of Factories of the Future and Enabling ICT for Sustainable Manufacturing.

 

He holds a BSc and an MSc in Mechanical engineering with specialization on design and manufacturing engineering from the University of Patras. He has also an MSc from National University of Athens in Automation systems with specialization on manufacturing and production systems.

 

He is an active member on a CEN/CENELEC standardization working group responsible for standardizing ZDM and a member of IOF (Industrial Ontologies Foundry) where he is the chair of the ZDM working group.
