Introducing a sustainable Product Life Cycle model

Updated: Sep 30, 2022

Today we #presented our latest #research work performed #together with Professor Gökan MAY from univeristy of North Florida, at #APMS2022 conference in Gyeongju in #southkorea. Our paper introduces an #updated version of the #productlifecycle which will lead to #global#sustainability entitled: Achieving global sustainability through sustainable product life cycle

Achieving true #sustainability is vital nowadays. As a #society we are generating a huge amount of #wastes, because of the shorter #productlifecycle, the increased market need for more new products and the lack of lifecycle models that could utilize 100% the remaining useful life of a product. In traditional #productlifecycle the next step after the use of a product is the #recycling step. When we recycle a product we #recycle it regardless if it is functional or not. In most of the cases the products that are being #recycled have significant remaining useful #life either as a products or #components .

The #key for achieving #true#global#sustainability is if we start #reusing and #repurposing product for exploiting 100% of product and components remaining useful life.
